IN THIS LESSON - John 1:29-34

John the Baptist sees Jesus approaching and declares, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the world's sin!" He testifies that Jesus is the one he spoke of, who ranks higher than him because He existed before him. John explains that he did not initially know Jesus, but God revealed to him that the one upon whom the Spirit descends and remains is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit. John affirms that he has seen this and is now a witness to Jesus being the Son of God.
