IN THIS LESSON - John 1:35-42

John the Baptist again points to Jesus, declaring, "Behold the Lamb of God!" Two of John’s disciples, hearing this, follow Jesus. When Jesus asks them what they seek, they inquire where He is staying, and He invites them to come and see. After spending the day with Him, one of the disciples, Andrew, finds his brother Simon, telling him they have found the Messiah. Andrew brings Simon to Jesus, and Jesus gives him the name Peter, signifying the vital role he will play. This passage marks the beginning of Jesus calling His first disciples.
